De-Mob Happy
Finally taking a moment to post before I run off to India, you would not believe the last few weeks. Work has been even more manic than usual, and trying to organise going away seems to have been a complete palaver. (there are easier ways of learning to sleep on planes I'm sure..) I can finally relax, now that my passport has finally returned to me safe and sound, complete with a lovely visa attached... (It decided to tease me by only turning up on tuesday) and I am suitably inoculated (mental note - BUPA hospitals' inoculation centers are NOT free)
Now it is just down to the last few hurdles... Firstly, getting to the airport. Due to Acts of God (also answers to Sod) It seems the trains are all bggrd on Sunday, the taxi prices to get to the airport are insane, (£45-£66) so being the Scottish person that I am, will probably end up going to the airport the night before and roughing it unless I can come up with a brighter idea.
I also havent been able to get hold of another lens for my camera yet, time and Jessops costing far too much, I'll need to make sure I find somewhere I can pick up a decent 80-200mm or so lens for not too much once I get to India. (or as it seems, thrash my credit card at the airport)
It will be a bit of an adventure though traveling out to india by myself, not done that before. I'm kinda excited by the newness of it all. I am strangely not at all bouncy yet, no doubt that will change tomorrow.
My work colleagues sent me this link, lol. ...I don't think they quite get the hint ;) Sadly not seen any other Stunning pics of ladakh, (hence the pretty mountain pic of himachal)

Good Luck - have a great time! You can get a bus from yours to LHR - check out National Express website - it will take you 50mins to get there, direct.
