Barad-dûr; or the first random posting since NZ

This is a very quick post, as I am dashing off to Covent Garden, but hopefully the first of many now that I have actually obstracted the digit and started putting my pics on flickr.

So, random interlude number one - it seems Barad-dûr, the infamous tower of the Great Dark Lord Sauron, (Lord of the RIngs) does in fact exist, (...or its body double) in the form of a rather evil and ugly looking water tower in a little town called Hawera on the North Island of New Zealand.

We had one of those "What the hell is THAT!!?? Stop the car!!" moments, and went to investigate.

Now where id my black paint.

As per usual follow the imagelinks to get the full size versions, on flickr the thumbnails don't do it justice. I have also uploaded a ton more pics to flickr in the last few hours, but dont have time to put much info into them.
